Pin #9 is not shown in photo because a DB9 Null Modem  does not use pin 9 and does not even connect it in the cable version.  Therefore our manufacturer does not include a pin for this null modem gender changer.  We have sold 1,000's of these without any problems :)
Can be used with Laplink, Interlink and Microsoft "Direct Connect" which comes with every version of windows from 95 through XP.
