    Description

    PCGS authenticated and graded VF 30. Dark crud built up around the tip of the laurel, some of the stars, and the central reverse legends and left wreath branch. Matte patina. Called "12 Star" variety because of the weakness of star 1, though it can still be seen faintly on this example. The die break through D in united curves up to the end of STATES, no split that branches over to ONE yet.
